Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information TableSpot handles, why we use it, and the choices available to guests, venue owners, and staff.
Effective September 20, 2026
1. Information we collect
- Account information, such as your name, email address, phone number, account type, and sign-in details managed by our authentication provider.
- Booking information, including venue, date, time, party size, service, special requests, confirmation details, attendance status, and optional WhatsApp number.
- Payment records, such as amount, currency, payment status, refund status, and payment provider references. TableSpot does not receive your full card number.
- Content and preferences, including favourites, reviews, ratings, waitlist requests, notifications, location choices, and messages sent through support or booking features.
- Venue information submitted by owners or staff, including business, contact, listing, team, service, availability, payout, and verification details.
- Technical and usage information needed to operate and protect the service, including device or browser data, timestamps, page and venue activity, booking attempts, referral clicks, and approximate location when you choose location-based features.
2. How we use information
- create and secure accounts;
- show availability and complete, manage, and support bookings;
- process payments, refunds, payouts, disputes, and related records;
- send confirmations, reminders, cancellations, check-in messages, and service notices;
- personalise discovery, remember preferences, and improve search;
- moderate reviews and listings, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms;
- provide venue owners with aggregated performance information; and
- comply with legal, accounting, safety, and regulatory obligations.
3. How information is shared
We share information only as needed to provide and protect TableSpot, including with:
- the venue you book, including the contact, booking, payment-status, special-request, and attendance details needed to serve you;
- Stripe to process card payments, connected-venue payouts, refunds, and disputes;
- providers supporting hosting, account authentication, maps and places, email, WhatsApp, security, and service operations;
- professional advisers, authorities, or other parties when required by law or safety; and
- a buyer or successor if TableSpot is involved in a merger, financing, reorganisation, or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Published reviews display the author name you provide, rating, review text, and date. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Payments and communications
Card details are entered into Stripe’s payment experience and are handled under Stripe’s privacy terms. If you provide a WhatsApp number for a booking, TableSpot and the booked venue may use it for booking-related messages. WhatsApp and your mobile provider process those communications under their own terms.
5. Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain booking and transaction records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements. Retention periods vary by record type. We may keep de-identified or aggregated information that no longer identifies you.
6. Your choices and rights
You can update your name, phone, WhatsApp number, email, and password from your profile. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, object to or restrict certain uses, or request a portable copy where applicable. Contact support@tablespotreservations.com. We may need to verify your identity, and some records may be retained where the law or a legitimate business need requires it.
7. Security and international processing
We use administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. TableSpot and its providers may process information in countries other than yours, with protections appropriate to the information and applicable law.
8. Children
TableSpot is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to use an online booking service in their country. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us.
9. Updates and contact
We may update this policy as TableSpot changes. The effective date above shows the latest revision. Privacy questions or requests can be sent to support@tablespotreservations.com.
